Our Cottage

Tucked away on a quiet lane in the heart of Youlgrave, Cosy Cottage is a beautifully renovated two-bedroom stone cottage - a cosy base for couples, friends and families wanting to explore the Peak District.
After a day walking in the dales, curl up beside the log burner, relax in the enclosed garden or wander into the village for a drink or something to eat.  And because so much is right on the doorstep, you can leave the car behind and explore straight from the cottage.

Once you've arrived there's no need to drive again.  There are plenty of walks from the cottage door. 
Here are a few circular walks we recommend. 

Youlgrave - Lathkill Dale - Youlgrave

11.91km (7.4 miles). Total Ascent: 260m. Approx  Duration: 3.5 hours

Youlgrave - Alport - Youlgrave

3.54km (2.2 miles).  Total Ascent: 44m. Approx Duration: 1 hour.

Youlgrave - Over Haddon - Youlgrave

7.84km (4.9 miles).  Total Ascent: 167m. Approx Duration: 2¼ hours.

Youlgrave - Birchover - Youlgrave

9.21km (5.7 miles). Total Ascent: 289m. Approx Duration: 3 hours.
